Car buyers in Ghana do their homework. Before they call a dealer they want to know the car’s real history, whether the papers are clean and what it will cost to run. Dealers who answer those questions in the listing get the serious calls; the rest get time-wasters. Here is what buyers check, and how to get ahead of it on FeelyFeely Cars.
1. Start with the VIN
When you list a vehicle, choose Use VIN and enter the vehicle identification number. FeelyFeely uses it to look up the vehicle, so your details match what buyers see when they check the VIN themselves. If the VIN is not to hand, the guided search lets you pick year, make, model and trim instead.
2. Be precise about condition
“Foreign used” and “Ghana used” mean very different things to a buyer, and so do “like new” and “good”. Choose the condition that is honest, and use the description for specifics: mileage, service history, accident repairs, replaced parts and anything that needs attention.
3. Show the papers
Buyers worry about stolen vehicles, unpaid duty and fake registration. Add the registration number and date registered, and upload documents in the verification step: DVLA registration, roadworthy certificate, logbook, insurance and a clear photo of the VIN plate. Listings with approved documents carry a Verified listing badge, and buyers notice it.
4. Photograph it like a buyer would inspect it
- All four sides, front and rear three-quarter angles.
- Interior: seats, dashboard with the engine running and the odometer visible.
- Engine bay, tyres and the boot.
- Close-ups of any dents or scratches. Hiding them only ends the deal at the viewing.
5. Price against the market
FeelyFeely’s price check compares your asking price with similar vehicles of the same year, so you can see whether you are priced to sell before you publish.
6. Point buyers to the free tools
The FeelyFeely Vehicle Toolbox gives buyers free tools including a VIN decoder, recall and safety checks, a Ghana import duty estimate, spec lookup and comparison, reliability and cost-of-ownership estimates. A dealer whose listing holds up against these checks looks confident and transparent.
7. Answer quickly
Car buyers contact several sellers at once. The dealer who replies first, with clear answers and an offer to arrange a viewing, usually gets the sale.
